I still don’t have many words, I just feel very numb. I have had to push my feelings to one side in order to get things done. I can’t even believe this has happened. I’m still expecting you to come home. After postponing my start date I’m due to start my new job in January, I’m so glad you got to see me achieve this goal. I’ll never forget coming in and you jumping up and throwing your arms around me, telling me how proud you are of me. I will continue to make you proud, you don’t have to worry about that! This Christmas is going to be a weird one, since the last few years we have spent it together, ending the evening cuddled up on the couch with a blanket and your white wine spritz. Tomorrow I have my mock driving test! It was only a few weeks ago I was telling you how when I’d passed we could go on fun trips and I’ll take you where ever you wanted to go.
